PJ Electrical provides professional inspection and Electric Fence System Certificate of Compliance services for properties across Pretoria and Centurion.
Compliance for Your Electric Fence System
An Electric Fence System Certificate of Compliance confirms that the applicable electric fence system has been inspected and complies with the relevant requirements.
Electric fence systems have their own prescribed Certificate of Compliance, separate from the general Electrical COC for the property’s electrical installation.
A general Electrical COC does not replace the applicable Electric Fence System COC.
When Might You Need an Electric Fence COC?
New Electric Fence Installation
A new electric fence system must meet the applicable requirements and appropriate certification must be issued.
Changes to an Existing Fence
If an electric fence system is altered, extended or modified, further inspection and certification may be required for the affected work.
Selling or Transferring
An Electric Fence System COC is required for an applicable electric fence system when ownership of the property changes.
Insurance or Documentation
May be required for insurance, property management or other compliance documentation.
How the Electric Fence COC Process Works
An inspection and a certificate are not the same thing. Certification follows once the relevant installation has been inspected and meets the applicable requirements.
Inspection & Testing

Findings
If non-compliant items are identified, we’ll explain what requires attention before certification can be completed.
Remedial Work
Where corrective work is required, the necessary remedial work can be discussed.
Certification
Once the system meets the applicable requirements, the Electric Fence System Certificate of Compliance can be issued.
What If the Electric Fence Doesn't Comply?
A COC Isn't Automatically Issued After an Inspection.
If non-compliant items are identified, they must be addressed before the applicable Electric Fence System Certificate of Compliance can be issued.

If an electric fence system is installed at the property, its Electric Fence System Certificate of Compliance is separate from the property’s general Electrical COC.
